Black Friday: How to Get What You Want From the Cyber Sales |
Cyber Weekend is one of the best times to make your large purchases of the year. Originating from the U.S, Black Friday & Cyber Monday are the two working days following Thanksgiving where retailers offload goods at very attractive discounts.
Luxury is one area that you can make some excellent savings in. When we think of ‘Designer Sales’, the usual image the crops to mind are overly tried-on, tired looking garments in gaudy colours and funny sizes. Or shoes & accessories that were both expensive and unattractive when first launched, and have now found their way into the 70% off bargain bin.
This isn’t typically the case with the Black Friday sales, and I’ve purchased a number of current, classic items at a discount not typically seen.
Such things include this Saint Laurent College Handbag or this Balmain blazer – both at 30% off at current.
Everyone knows about Cyber Weekend – even my mother is on it once Friday arrives! As such, it’s really important that you develop a strategy ahead of time...
Create a wishlist on your favourite websites of the items you hope to purchase in the sales. This is one of the most affective ways of being fast and successful once the sales commence.
Sign-up to email newsletters & follow brands on social media. Retailers release their promotions typically across both of these channels. Keep an eye out during this time for promotions to be released.
Follow and keep-up with your favourite bloggers & influencers – affiliate companies share coupon codes with us before the sales start, and we’re able to share them with you early.
Some retailers stagger their Cyber Weekend activities; releasing an initial coupon code that rises to a greater discount the following day. They do this at random, so bear this in mind – but also consider that delaying your purchase in the hope that a bigger coupon will be released, could lose you your items!
