H&M x Balmain : Let the games begin |
Today, 5th November 2015, the collaboration that's got most of the world in a frenzy, has launched.
I myself have been up since the early hours, still sat here now in my pyjamas, with my finger continuously hitting that 'refresh' button on the H&M website, which has been down due to the high volumes of people trying to get through, for about 2 hours now!
We're talking about the H&M x Balmain collaboration, which has seen crazy all-night queues at strores from New York, to Sydney, Paris & London. Oh yes, and items costing $200 being sold on eBay this morning for near $2,000!!!!
So, how badly do I want to get my hands on some of the pieces? - A LOT.
Do I want it so bad I'll sleep on the street in London all night? - No.
Having bought H&M collaboration pieces in the past, once the hype and excitement has died down, and I've either managed to buy something in-store, or have paid an extortionate fee on eBay for it - I'm always left, a little disappointed....
It's the quality you see; the pieces (in my opinion) never look that great. Not as good as they do in the Ad campaigns anyway.
So I will sit here for a little while longer, and see if I get lucky on the website. If I don't get lucky, maybe I'll leave it and rip myself off on eBay for something in a few weeks.
If you are super keen to get your hands on a certain few things from the line, here are the rules you need to know:
From 9am GMT on Thursday 5th November 2015.
Both in-store and online, the rules are - x1 of each piece only.
If you manage to get onto the website to shop, chances are, it's going to be slow and you may keep dropping-off and be taken back to the "We have a lot of visitors on the site right now..." page. ARGH!
Items you manage to add to your cart ARE NOT reserved, so you need to pay for those goodies ASAP!!
Yes, but you only have 3 days to return items - and H&M have been strict on saying that items will only be accepted for refund if they are in pristine condition.
LONDON
BIRMINGHAM
EDINBURGH
MANCHESTER
And you can shop online of course.
So guys, if anyone manages to get any of the collection - I'd be interested to know how you find it in terms of quality and fit. Please tag me in your posts with your thoughts - #SophieShohet
Good Luck! xx
